This one-day training is open to everyone and will be offered three times throughout this school year.

Training Description:
This training is to build skills of people working with adolescents. BI is a short-term intervention that consists of 2 to 4 sessions aimed at adolescents who use alcohol, tobacco, and/or other drugs. This approach uses motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy and the stages of change model to meet the needs of adolescents.
Target Audience:
School Administrators, Educators, Staff, Counselors, School Nurses, and Community-Based Organization Staff
Continuing Education Units (CEUs):
This training meets the qualifications for 6 hours continuing education credits for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs and/or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Center for Applied Research Solutions (CARS), offers 6 Hours of Continuing Education Units for BRN, AOD Counselors and Prevention Specialist.
CEUs are offered by CARS for a $25 fee that must be paid in advance. No payment will be accepted onsite. The $25 payment can either be sent via PayPal to jvatert@cars-rp.org or paid by check mailed to Center for Applied Research Solutions, 708 College Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95404.
